Claire Colby

Claire Colby was a caregiver to Phoebe McGarren from 1980 to 1989. She was also nanny to Kip Bathers (son of Kit) from 1989 to 1998.

She never married, but she was sister to Martin Colby and great-aunt to his granddaughter Janey Colby.

Claire was short of stature with steel-gray hair and piercing green eyes. She always wore a light-gray frock with a dark red belt cinched at the waist.

Despite her rather stern appearance, Claire was a kindly woman who quickly became protective of her charge Phoebe McGarren, and thus privy to many Larkin family secrets.

Claire Colby appears in Enthrallment and Hearts Desires.
