Labor Day Fixings

Wilbert and I don't have any particular plans for the fast-approaching Labor Day holiday, but after having a look at the following recipe from McCormick Kitchens I have a clue:

Labor Saver Mixed Grill

1 pkg. McCormick Grill Mates Zesty Herb Marinade

1/3 C water

3 TBS white vinegar

3 TBS oil

2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (about 1/2 LB)

2 pork loin chops (about 1/2 LB)

1 salmon steak (about 3/4 LB)

1/2 LB Italian sausage links

Combine marinade mix, water, vinegar and oil in a small bowl. Place chicken, pork, salmon and sausage links in a single layer in a large, self-closing plastic bag. Pour marinade over meat and close bag. Turn bag gently to coat all sides of meat. Refrigerate thirty minutes or longer for extra flavor. Remove meat from marinade. Place meat on preheated grill. Discard any leftover marinade. Grill the chicken and pork for five to seven minutes per side or until done. Grill salmon and sausages eight to ten minutes or until fish flakes easily with a fork and sausages are well done.

To go with? Maybe some white rice, or a nice baked potato with fresh vegetables such as grilled squash or a steamed mix of asparagus and slivered almonds.
