Sloppy Joes

Campbell's Kitchen has a nice and easy recipe for homemade Sloppy Joes. I'm not a big fan, but Wilbert and my parents love them:

Sloppy Joes

1 LB ground beef

1 medium onion, chopped

3/4 C V8 100% Vegetable Juice

1/4 C ketchup

1 TBS Worcestershire sauce

5 hamburger rolls

Cook beef and onion in skillet until browned. Pour off fat. Add vegetable juice, ketchup and Worcestershire. Heat through. Serve in rolls. Recipe makes five sandwiches. Serving Suggestions: This classic favorite loose-meat sandwich mixture is also delicious spooned over cornbread wedges. Whether in a bun or over cornbread, Sloppy Joes are delicious with deli coleslaw and oven-fried potato wedges. Cut pieces of warm fruit pie for dessert, and offer with ice cream.

A variation is the Halloween-themed Sloppy Goblins. Give them a whirl!
