Luncheon Salad

I eat a salad for lunch at least two or three times a week. The picture below depicts my favorite combination, which I photographed today (click on picture to view actual size in a new window):

Turkey Pastrami Salad (lunch for Tuesday, 7 March 2006). Click on picture to view actual size in a new window.

Lately I have been using green-leaf lettuce rather than iceberg, which I chop and then sprinkle with Lawry's Seasoned Salt. I've become addicted to turkey pastrami in recent weeks (which is fairly cheap at the grocery store). I cube the peppered pastrami, along with mozzarella cheese. I also add sliced green onions, along with a generous handful of McCormick's Salad Toppins.

My dressing of choice remains my own concoction of olive oil and red wine vinegar.

I'd rather eat my lunch salad any day over the greasy combos to be had at the endless chain of fast-food joints.
