Wedded Bliss

Wilbert and I celebrated our second wedding anniversary yesterday, deciding to go out for a meal. At first we were going to try one of the local fancy eateries, but in the end chose to go to the Golden Corral (or rather, Wilbert picked the locale).

I'm not much of a breakfast-eater, but I can never pass up all-you-can-eat biscuits and gravy, along with ham and hash browns.

We haven't been to the Golden Corral in ages, so it was a nice outing. Nothing fancy for us, mind you. We arrived early to beat the crowds and started loading up. Wilbert tends to gather a lot of meat and eggs, while I stuck with biscuits and gravy (wonderful, fluffy biscuits), a waffle and a handful of bacon which I snuck into my purse for Foofer.

I actually plan to "take away" some food by Foofer by placing an empty plastic sandwich bag in my purse, leaving it open and unzipping my purse just a tad so I can get my hand in.

This drives Wilbert crazy - he feels it isn't right. However, I'm of the mind that we paid for the meal and whether I eat what's on my plate or not is beside the point. Besides, by the time we left I had filled the plastic baggie with more bacon and a slice of ham.

It wasn't as if I was hauling away a whole side of beef!
