Snack Day

Although I don't watch the game unless the Oakland Raiders are playing, this Super Bowl Sunday is reserved for baked chicken nuggets with spicy brown mustard, and an array of various snacks: baby garlic dill pickles, homemade guacamole with scoop tortilla chips, sliced cheese, chicken Vienna sausage, and Keebler Club and Town House crackers.

Speaking of the Super Bowl, McCormick has a divine recipe for the occasion:

Snappy Cocktail Meatballs

Cocktail Meatballs:

1 pkg. McCormick Brown Gravy Mix

1-1/2 LBS lean ground beef

1 TBS prepared horseradish

1 TBS parsley flakes

1 tsp. basil leaves

1/4 tsp. black pepper

Honey Mustard Sauce:

4 tsp. ground mustard

1/2 C mayonnaise

1 TBS honey

Preheat oven to 375-degrees F. For the Cocktail Meatballs, mix all ingredients in large bowl until well blended. Shape into 1-inch balls. Place on foil-lined baking pan. Bake ten to fifteen minutes until cooked through. Meanwhile, for the Honey Mustard Sauce, measure ground mustard into small bowl. Stir to break up any lumps. Add mayonnaise and honey; stir until smooth. Serve with meatballs. Recipe makes 18 (2 meatball) servings.

I omitted honey in the mustard sauce as I'm allergic to it, but the meatballs were yummy nonetheless.
