Free Gift Basket Contest (contest now closed)
From now until the end of the year, Appetizing Muse will be running a contest for a free Pillsbury gift basket.
The rules are simple. Send us your favorite holiday recipe or favorite recipe in general, and on New Year's Day one will be picked as the winner. We are especially interested in original recipes, or dishes that include unusual ingredients but that are somewhat easy to prepare.
Recipes can come in any category and are not limited to desserts. If you have a favorite recipe for your dog or cat, feel free to submit those as well.
In addition, the winning recipe will be included with the collection on Food Fare with credit and a link back to the winner's web site or blog (if applicable).

On January 1st 2009, the Free Gift Basket Contest was won by LaRue Bloomquist from Bountiful, Utah for her family recipe Toscakaka (Swedish Almond Cake).
