1/2 LB to 1 LB ground chicken (or turkey)
1/4 C whole wheat flour
2 TBS margarine (or cooking oil)
1/4 tsp. each of salt & pepper
Sprinkle of dried parsley
1 egg, beaten
1/4 C skim milk
1 multi-purpose canine vitamin, ground fine
In a bowl, combine ground chicken (or turkey), crushed vitamin, salt and pepper, parsley, egg and milk. Mix well. On a cutting board, take out a spoon-sized amount of the meat and roll out lengthwise (about four inches). Shape and roll until the meat resembles a link sausage, making sure not to roll too thin. Roll the "sausage dogs" in the whole wheat flour, and fry in the oil for about five minutes, turning frequently. Cook until the meat is no longer pink, and drain well on paper towels. Serve to your pooch lukewarm, or completely cooled.
Recommended: Add multi-purpose canine vitamins in the preparation of this dish to provide optimum nutrition for your dog (s). Use a mortar and pestle to crush the vitamins into a fine powder, and then mix well with the other ingredients.
