Hot Red Pepper
1/2 C crushed red pepper
1 TBS ground ginger
2 cloves of garlic, crushed
4 TBS oil
In a small bowl, combine the crushed red pepper, ginger and garlic. Mix well. Then add 4 tablespoons of oil (or enough to make a mushy consistency). Stir the ingredients, and place in tiny butter dishes to serve individually.
Note: Many recipes in Madagascar call for the use of Sakay. It is typically served separately so that individual portions can be controlled.
