Saudi Arabian dip for dates
3/4 C flour
1/2 C vegetable oil or shortening
Pitted dates
In a saucepan, combine flour with vegetable oil or shortening. Heat over low heat, stirring constantly until mixture is golden brown. Remove from heat; pour mixture onto a plate. Serve hot with pitted dates. Recipe makes six to eight snack servings.
