Egg Cream
1/2 C seltzer water (club soda)
1/2 C milk or half-and-half
Chocolate syrup to taste
Pour seltzer water into a tall glass; pour in milk and stir in chocolate syrup until dissolved. Serve. Recipe makes one serving.
History Note: Egg Cream is said to have originated in Brooklyn, New York around 1910. The original recipe called for real eggs, which were whipped by high-pressure soda water nozzles.
