Buttermilk Pie
3 eggs
3/4 C sugar
1 C buttermilk
1 tsp. cornmeal
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. nutmeg
1 pie shell (9")
Fit pie shell in a greased pie pan; cut away excess. In a bowl, beat the eggs, sugar and buttermilk. Add the cornmeal, vanilla and nutmeg; mix well. Pour mixture into the prepared pie shell; bake at 350-degrees F for about thirty minutes. Allow to cool slightly before slicing and serving.
