Kotlety Siekane
1 medium onion, chopped
1 tsp. bacon drippings
3 slices white bread
1/2 C milk
1 egg
1 LB ground beef
1/2 LB ground pork
Salt & black pepper to taste
In a skillet, sauté chopped onion in bacon drippings until golden brown in color. Set aside to cool. In a bowl, soak bread slices in milk. Break soaked bread into small pieces. In another bowl, combine onion, bread, egg, beef and pork. Add salt and black pepper to taste. Shape mixture into patties; brown in skillet with bacon drippings. Transfer patties to a baking dish and bake for twenty to twenty-five minutes at 350-degrees F.
Suggestion: Serve on hamburger buns with lettuce and sliced tomato.
